There was hugging, hand-holding, kissing, and first time I-love-you’s. There was sight-seeing, exploring and visiting new places. There were impressive firework shows and electric parades. There were slow dances to love songs in my apartment. There were big birthday bashes that involved drinking, dancing, and drinking some more. There was a wine train with horrible wine but wonderful company. There were huge mud pits and slippery mud slides. There were more hugs, hand-holds, kisses, and slow dances in my apartment. There were even more I-love-you’s. There was teaching and bonding with students. There was learning and growing as an educator. There were gyros, temples, and gorgeous Greek islands. There was good wine, gelato, and the most beautiful art I’ve ever seen. There were tapas, flamenco dancers, and way too much sangria. There was a whole new kind of independence found. But overall, there were new friends, new experiences, and a new love that made for yet another amazing and memorable summer.
