Five highlights from my week:
The new stamps I ordered from Elise arrived on Monday! (see above photo)
I’ve decided I need to start doing some volunteer work again since I have the time. I signed up with the American Cancer Society and had my orientation this past Wednesday. I’ll be doing some admin support, as well as working some of their events, like Relay for Life. I’m beyond excited about this opportunity, especially since both of my parents had cancer; volunteering with the ACS will surely be a great way for me to reach out and help others who are battling cancer.
I had a happy hour date with a close friend of mine on Wednesday. Good drinks and good company = THE BEST
I went on a five mile run. Typically I can only run for two and a half miles before getting tired and quitting, so this longer run was quite the fitness-related accomplishment for me!
Chris’ birthday is today! I’m pretty sure I’m more excited about it than he is. Well, I have a lot of fun things planned for him, so hopefully that gets him in the birthday spirit.
Five things I found on the Internet this week and want to share with you:
Ashley shares some great tips on saving money.
Amy wrote about how she’s working on being a nicer person. I can totally relate to this! Must be all that yoga we’ve been doing.
Kait hosted the cutest flower-crown-making/garden party. Such a fun idea!
Kinsey shared a DIY tutorial on how to make a crochet top. PERFECT for fall.
Chantelle wrote a great post about how it’s not what’s on the outside that counts; it’s what’s on the inside.
