In case you’re looking for a super cute, sweet, cheap, easy-to-make Valentine’s Day gift to give to your sweetie tomorrow, might I suggest this?
I found the idea on Pinterest and made it for Chris a couple days ago. The supplies cost me less than $5 and it was extremely fun and easy to make. I love it and can’t wait to give it to him tomorrow!
Supplies You’ll Need:
- a deck of red playing cards ($3 at Target in the Toy/Game section)
- 2 book/binder rings ($5 at Office Max for a pack of assorted sizes)
- 8.5 x 11 white paper
- black sharpie
- hole punch
- glue stick
Step 1: Cut your paper to fit the center of the card. You will need 54 strips total including the title and ending. I used a pencil and ruler to measure my rectangular strips 1.25” horizontally and 2.25” vertically.
Step 2: Write your title (52 Reasons Why I Love You), your ending (Love Always, _____), and 52 reasons on your paper strips with a sharpie. This was probably the hardest part of the project. There are way more than 52 reasons why I love Chris, so I had to narrow them down a bit!
Step 3: Glue your papers to the playing cards. I used the Joker cards for the front and back.
Step 4: Hole punch all the playing cards on the left side of the card EXCEPT the last card. You need to hole punch this one on the right side.
Step 5: Assemble the playing cards with rings.
And there you have it! An inexpensive yet thoughtful gift to give your honey on Valentine’s Day.
