Loving my new job. I love that I’m learning new skills to add to my resume. I love that it’s keeping me busy during the weekdays while Chris is at work. I love that I’m making extra money to put toward my debt. I love that it’s a good contrast from my restaurant job. I’m so glad that I finally found a good, solid, side hustle.
Loathing that I’ve been slacking on blogging and working out. Now that I have a second job, I’m working about 45-50 hours a week. I’m still trying to get used to this new schedule of mine and trying to figure out when I can find time to fit in my hobbies. Hopefully I’ll develop a regular routine soon.
Watching Frozen. All day, every day. My mother-in-law bought me the DVD and I love her for that!
Feeling in a funk these last couple days. On Saturday night, I had a sad dream about my mom which made me feel very emotional when I woke up. Those feelings carried on throughout Easter Sunday and I ended the day with a big, ugly cry. I felt emotionally hungover on Monday, and have been trying to get back to normal ever since. Damn emotions.
Planning fun stuff to do during my birthday weekend. I’m turning 29 in about a month, and this will be the first time I’ve celebrated my birthday here in Sacramento since 2010. I’ve already requested the weekend off from work, so now I’m brainstorming fun birthday activities to do with my friends and family. So far, I know I want to get pampered (salon visit, pedicure, facial) wine and dine at some of my favorite restaurants, and go shopping. I feel like the more fun stuff I plan for my birthday, the easier it will be to turn 29!
Working on trying not to eat out so much. I’ve spent a lot of money on eating out this month and April isn’t even over yet! I think I let myself go overboard ever since I found out I got my second job and knew I would have more money coming in soon. Not a good mentality to have!
Wishing spring was over so I can stop hiding indoors and enjoy the sunshine. These days, I can only be outside for a couple hours before my allergies start acting up. Basically, I’m ready for summer.
Looking forward to running my first 10K this weekend! I’ve been meaning to sign up for a 10K for a while now, so when I found out there’s a 10K happening in downtown Sac this weekend for only $30, I decided to sign up last minute! Besides, I’ve been running 5K’s for the last two years; it’s time to move on to something more challenging. Wish me luck!
