Loving that this week is a short week because of the holiday on Monday. Cheers to the freakin’ weekend!
Loathing that I spent $180 on an interview suit this week. I had a job interview scheduled for Wednesday, so on Tuesday night I was trying to decide what to wear when I realized I didn’t have that perfect power outfit. I ran to the mall and found a navy suit at The Limited in my size, but it was pretty expensive, even with the 30% discount. I decided to just bite the bullet and call it an investment, which it totally is. I’m glad I have my perfect power outfit now for when I need it. I just wish it didn’t cost so much.
Reading Gone Girl, finally. I’m about 50 pages in and I’m already intrigued. I’m trying to get through it quickly so I can see the movie.
Feeling mentally drained. I felt like I was back in college this week because of all the studying I had to do. I had that job interview on Wednesday, so I spent most of Tuesday evening studying for that. Once that was over, I started studying for a wine test I have to take at my restaurant job. I heard the test is pretty hard, so I’m not looking forward to taking it.
Planning on getting back on track with healthy living. I’ve been eating like crap for the last couple months, and it’s really starting to make me feel like crap. I’ve got some ideas on how I’m going to start changing my ways, which I’ll share here soon.
Working on getting Otis TRAINED. I called the American Kennel Club yesterday to see what the hold up was with getting his new certificate mailed back to us; it turns out we were missing a signature and a $10 fee we didn’t know about, so I got those sent in. Now I’ll be checking our mailbox incessantly for the next week or so. The sooner we get Otis’ certficate stating we’re his new owners, the sooner we can get him pet insurance, take him to the vet, and get him signed up for obedience classes. In the meantime, I bought a few books on pugs that should come in the mail today.
Wishing I get that job I interviewed for. I think the interview went well, but I don’t want to get my hopes up like I have before.
Looking forward to celebrating my nieces’ birthdays at their Frozen-themed birthday party on Saturday, and a reunion lunch with some old co-workers on Sunday. Sleeping in this weekend sounds lovely, too.
