Loving the progress I’m making on my March goals. I’ve been working out way more and eating healthier, resulting in my losing 4 pounds since the beginning of March. I’ve also given my resume a makeover and have taken a couple online trainings to add to it as well. As much as I miss blogging and reading blogs, I have to admit that taking a break from both has given me so much more time in my day to work on accomplishing my goals.
Loathing my spring allergies. I always dread this time of year. Luckily, they haven’t been too bad yet, but we’ll see how April treats me.
Feeling sad because I’m currently fighting with a close family member. This person said some pretty hurtful things to me last week and has still not made an effort to apologize. Part of me feels like I should be the bigger person and take the initiative to try and resolve our differences, but then again, I’m not the one who said mean things via text message.
Planning on not traveling anywhere for my 30th birthday in May, which bums me out. I wanted to go to Puerto Vallerta, but the financially responsible part of me is saying no. We’ve spent A LOT of money on Otis since we got him, plus Chris just paid for a big dental expense of his, we both just paid our car registrations, and I think we might owe on our taxes again this year, too. Oh, adulthood. How do I loathe thee? Let me count the ways.
Working on getting Otis trained! He finally started a 6-week obedience class series at Petco this past Tuesday night. I’m so glad we decided to do these classes with him because I’ve never had a dog before, so I anticipate the both of us learning A TON. Before Otis even started his classes, Chris had already taught him how to shake, stay, lay down, and roll over, so maybe he’ll end up being the top of his class? If he does, I’ll be one proud dog momma.
Wishing my kitchen would clean itself. I feel like ever since we started eating out less and cooking at home more, there are ALWAYS dishes in the sink, trash in the garbage can, and crumbs on the counter. No wonder eating out can be so expensive: you’re paying for the convenience of someone cleaning up after you.
Looking forward to running my second half marathon on Sunday. I can’t believe it’s almost here! I actually rolled my ankle on Monday night while doing a 3 mile run, so it’ll be interesting to see how I do during the race. I was hoping to set a new PR, but at this point, I just hope I can finish!
