– We celebrated Otis’ 2nd birthday last week! I can’t believe our little guy is 2 years old AND we’ve almost had him for a year in December. I have so many feelings about both these milestones that will have to be saved for an entirely new blog post of its own. For now, let’s just say I am crazy about my fur baby!
– I think I might have to buy a new iPhone soon because I’ve been having a variety of problems with my current one (i.e. constantly running out of storage, contacts randomly getting deleted, etc). As I type this, my phone has no service at all despite restarting it four times! I’ve had my 5S for 2 years, so I will probably get the new 6S. While the idea of getting a new phone is kinda exciting, I’m not excited about spending the money on one. We spent so much money on moving in October, my plan was to be super strict with my spending in November to compensate. I’m hoping I can hold out until December to make this purchase because I get paid three times in December (instead of the usual 2x) so I can use that extra money to buy a fully functioning phone again and call it a Christmas gift to myself.
– I feel like ever since we announced we moved into a house and celebrated our 3 year wedding anniversary recently, more people are hinting/asking us about having kids soon and some are expecting me to announce a pregnancy! My mother-in-law even had a dream about me getting pregnant and announcing we were having a boy. I guess it makes sense why people would start assuming, though; we’ve been together for a while now and we definitely have the space for a baby in our new place.
– The change of seasons and the stress of moving totally threw me off my fitness game this last month. I’ve been eating really unhealthy lately (hello, holiday baked goods everywhere) and I’ve been slacking on running thanks to the colder weather. Another excuse for my poor health choices is the fact that my half marathon training is over: I don’t really have a reason to eat healthy and workout 5x a week right now. I’ve been looking into signing up for a few halfs next year and maybe even a full marathon, but since we plan to start trying for a baby in January, I don’t know if I should, because who wants to train for a half marathon while pregnant? It’s hard to plan for the future when you’re planning on trying to start a family soon.
– Our weekends have been crazy busy since the beginning of October, and it seems the crazy-busyness is carrying on into November. This weekend we are hosting two dinners for two different sets of friends now that our house is mostly put together, and we are visiting a friend who just had a major surgery. In between social plans, I have a hair appointment for me, a grooming appointment for Otis, a trip to Ikea, and an oil change planned. I almost forgot how hectic the holiday season tends to be.
How was your week? What are your plans for the weekend?
