– So, I joined Snapchat last Friday. I had no interest in joining Snapchat for the longest time because 1) I didn’t feel the need to join yet another social media platform and 2) I just didn’t get the point of it. Pictures and videos that disappear a few seconds to a few hours after they’re viewed? What’s the point? The reason I finally joined was out of curiosity. I was reading an article about how millenials think Facebook is dead and are all about Snapchat now. After reading the article, I thought, “I want to know what all the damn hype is all about!” so I created an account. I have to admit, Snapchat is kinda fun, but I’m still an Instagram girl at heart.
– Our trip to Seattle is in two weeks! I can’t believe I’m actually going on a little vacation soon; it’s been so long! Right now I’m trying to figure out where we’re going to leave Otis while we’re gone and I’m being a crazy overprotective mom about it. This will be our first time leaving him somewhere overnight, but not just one night, THREE nights. I’m going to miss him so much while we’re gone so I want to make sure he’s at least in the best hands possible to give me peace of mind. We’ve thought about leaving him with friends or family but we want to leave him with someone who knows how to care for a dog; however, that means the friends/family who know how to care for a dog already have their own dog(s) so we don’t want to burden them with another dog, especially a dog like Otis who has so many special needs. We will most likely have Otis stay at a dog hotel of some sort where he will get love and attention from dog trainers 24/7. I know it’s probably an unnecessary cost but I DON’T CARE. I won’t enjoy my vacation if I’m worrying about him the whole time.
– I think Chris and I might finally be getting close to having the house put together. All we really have left is to touch up some paint on the walls, buy a comforter set for our new bed, and organize the garage. We made a lot of progress last weekend because his mom was coming to see our place for the first time. Inviting people over is always a good excuse to clean, especially when it’s your mother-in-law!
– I’ve been feeling a lot of regret lately regarding my twenties. I know this is totally random since I’m 30 and have been 30 for a while now, but this regret has stemmed from some people and things I’ve seen online and on social media these past couple months. My regret consists of two things: not taking better care of myself physically, not sticking with any hobbies, and not finding anything I’m super passionate about. I could probably write an entire blog post on these random feelings of regret, but I think the best thing to do for now is remember that I can’t change the past, I can only change the future going forward. My twenties were far from perfect, but I guess that’s why they say your twenties are for learning about yourself and who you are.
– Yay for a short work week. Luckily this weekend isn’t looking too crazy for me. I think Chris and I might go see Deadpool. I also have plans with some of my lady friends.
How was your week? What are your plans for the weekend?
