– Ahhhhh! Work was insane this week. Probably the craziest it’s been since I started this job 9 months ago, and it’s going to continue to be crazy busy for me until mid-April. I like being busy at work, but I’m definitely looking forward to when it slows down for a bit come end of April. I feel like I’ve been going 90 MPH since February!
– While work has been crazy for me lately, there have been some really good things happening for me work-wise as well: I recently got a small raise and a bonus! These perks have made me so incredibly happy not just because it’s more money in my pocket, but because they made me feel really appreciated and like I’m doing a good job. After working a bunch of part-time jobs while struggling to find a full-time job these last few years, it’s really nice to feel wanted and valued.
– I bought a new FitBit this week and it should arrive today. I lost my FitBit Zip back in December because the clasp was crappy so it fell off my shorts. This time around, I bought a FitBit I can wear on my wrist so I won’t lose it. I’m really excited about this little investment in my health and I hope it will motivate me to move more during the day when I’m at work so I don’t feel like a sloth by 5 pm.
– I’ve been pretty obsessed with home decor lately. A lot of my free time has been spent on YouTube watching room tours, wandering the decor aisles in Target, and browsing IKEA’s website. Living in a house and decorating it has been fun for me. I never really cared what our apartment looked like because we didn’t have people over that much. Now that we are hosting more dinner parties these days, I have more incentive to make our living space look more put together. I can’t wait to decorate our own house someday soon!
– I’m so happy it’s the weekend so I can breathe a little! Tonight Chris and I are going to a birthday celebration dinner, then tomorrow I’m visiting with a friend from out of town. The rest of the weekend we’ll be working on our taxes. I’m really looking forward to seeing how much money we owe! NOT.
How was your week? What are your plans for the weekend?
