I started off this week feeling VERY pregnant. On Monday when I went into work, my hips were hurting, my non-maternity dress felt tight, and even my feet were feeling kinda swollen. Good times!
Some other highlights from this week:
- I’m pretty sure I am feeling the baby move now! So far, it feels like little bubbles in my belly. The movement is still kind of faint at this point, and I can only feel it if I’m sitting still/lying down, but it’s there. I can’t wait to start feeling him kick and move all the time, and for Chris to feel his kicks from the outside. Only a matter of weeks!
- We started putting the nursery together last weekend and I’m obsessed. It’s all I want to work on these days. So far, we have a crib, bookcase, and glider for furniture, and a handful of decor. This weekend, I plan to hit up Home Goods to see if they have any good nursery stuff. Can’t wait to share the finished product here in a few months!
- I started to feel some bouts of nausea again this week, which can be normal around the 20 week mark. This nausea wasn’t as bad as my first trimester nausea, but it’s still annoying to deal with, especially during these hot summer days. Luckily, the nausea didn’t stop me from cooking dinner twice this week! Yup, I was finally able to cook for the first time since my 6th week of pregnancy when my food aversions started! I felt so accomplished being back in the kitchen and I’m hoping to get more cooking in from now on.
This weekend will not only be spent looking for nursery decor, it will also be spent looking for new maternity clothes. I am in DIRE need of some work pants! My bump has gotten so big, my Bella Band is not cutting it anymore. Getting ready for work has been a struggle this week. I plan to hit up the mall and I’m not allowed to come home unless I buy some damn pants that fit!
How was your week? What are your plans for the weekend?
