Week 29 – the last week of my “twenties!” Time is certainly going by faster now that I’m at the end of my pregnancy. I remember in the first trimester, every day went by SO SLOWLY. Probably because I was sick, tired, and dying to tell everyone I was pregnant but couldn’t yet!
Here are my highs and lows from the past week:
- The most exciting part of this week was getting our maternity photos back from our photographer so soon! If you haven’t seen them yet, check them out here. I’m so happy with how they turned out and to have these memories of my first pregnancy. I also finally got around to blogging about our babymoon in Carmel in case you missed it.
- A small bummer from this week is that I finally spotted some stretch marks on my belly. At almost 30 weeks, I thought I might be home free from getting any, but unfortunately for me, that’s not the case. I’ve gotten stretch marks before on different areas of my body and they ended up fading, so hopefully the same will happen with the ones on my belly. The sacrifices we women make to bring new life into this world!
- Having a child really is a whole new level of adulting and it’s kind of overwhelming to say the least. I’m working on my third trimester to-do list right now and some of the tasks include writing a will, finding a pediatrician, filling out daycare forms, adding Baby M to our insurance, etc. It’s a lot, and some days, I just don’t know where to start.
- Our baby shower is in a week and I’m getting really excited for it. My family has put a lot of time and effort into planning it, so I can’t wait to see the final result. Mostly, I’m just excited to celebrate my little man and shower him with love.
I’m excited that the only plans we have this weekend are to attend a birthday party for our friend’s kid. Man, you know you’re getting old when you start attending kids’ birthday parties! This time next year, I’ll be planning one of my own. Crazy!
How was your week? What are your plans for the weekend?
