Hi, I’m Gina. Welcome to my blog! A few things you should know about me are:
I’m 32 years old and I live in Sacramento, California with my husband Chris, our son Aidan, and our dog Otis. I was born-and-raised in Sacramento and I absolutely love it here: the weather is perfect, there’s lots to do, it’s affordable, and the food scene is thriving.
I graduated from college in December of 2010 with my B.A. in English. I chose English because I love to read and write. In fact, my love for writing is the reason why I started blogging back in 2008. Over the years, my blog has become my creative outlet, a place where I can recap my experiences, and connect with other bloggers.
After I graduated, I started making plans to move to Suwon, South Korea to teach English at an elementary school for a year. A month before I was scheduled to leave (March 2011), I met Chris on OK Cupid. We spent almost every day together before I moved, and before we knew it, we were in love. We decided to try to make a long-distance relationship work while I was living abroad, and we did.
As for living in South Korea for a year, it was amazing: I gained great job experience, traveled a lot, and grew tremendously as a person. Moving to Korea was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
After I moved back to Sacramento (March 2012), Chris proposed to me. After being engaged for seven months, we got married at San Francisco City Hall on October 26, 2012. Our day was perfect and I am so happy to be married to the man of my dreams. At the end of 2014, we adopted our little Otis, and at the beginning of 2017, we became a family of four when Aidan was born.
And for work, I have a full-time job working for a non-profit in downtown Sacramento. As a working mom, I don’t have a whole lot of free-time, but when I can, I love to practice yoga, run, listen to audiobooks/podcasts, spend all my money at Target, and of course, hang out with my friends and family.
Thanks again for stopping by my little corner of the internet! It means a lot that you’ve read some of my stories. I hope you decide to stick around.
