Loving that I can breathe again! I’ve been super-crazy-busy at work this month because I’ve been planning a big event, so blogging was inadvertently pushed to the back burner. I’ve been working through my lunches, staying late after work, and I even went into work last weekend. My event happened on Tuesday, so I’m excited for work to slow down a little bit and to get back to my daily routine. I have a long to-do list to catch up on and blog posts swirling aroung in my head that I’d like to crank out soon.
Loathing the fact that my face has been breaking out lately. I’m sure it’s because of the stress from work but it also has to do with me not having time to clean my makeup brushes. It sucks that I’m 30 years old and I still get breakouts, though I can’t really blame anyone but myself if I’m not going to make cleaning my brushes a priority!
Planning what I want to do for my birthday next month. I want to keep it cheap, so I think Chris and I are going to head to Point Reyes for the day and go hiking. I’ve been wanting to go there so badly because I hear it’s a gorgeous place to hike. I think it would make for a fun birthday/day trip.
Feeling broke. April was such an expensive month for me. We paid our taxes, which turned out to be not as bad as last year, but it still sucks to owe. I also needed an oil change and tire rotation, and we all know car maintenence repairs are never fun. I feel like any money I get for my birthday next month will be used to replenish my savings. Boring, but necessary since we’re trying to buy a house by the end of the year.
Working on getting back on the healthy train. Being super-crazy-busy at work meant lots of stress eating and not a whole lot of exercising these last couple months. Bathing suit season is right around the corner, so I need to get my ass to the gym STAT.
Looking forward to a 3-day weekend. My weekend started today because I am flexing for work. I intentionally plan to not make a lot of plans this weekend so I can relax and DE-STRESS from the last couple months. I have a much-needed hair appointment planned and that’s about it. I’ll probably squeeze in a yoga class and an at-home pedicure, too.
